Native from Stuttgart, the soprano Maria Bernius graduated with honors studying with Cheryl Studer and Barbara Locher. During her studies, she developed a wide range of roles from baroque opera to contemporary music.
In concert performances, she could be watched at the Mozartfest Würzburg as Zerlina and Susanna. Recent engagements have taken her to the Theater Luzern and to the Mainfrankentheater Würzburg. Maria Bernius gives numerous concerts in Deutschland and abroad, among others, with the Heidelberger Philharmoniker, the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Capriccio Basel, La Banda and L’arpa festante.
